Our lab is located at Stanford University School of Medicine in the Department of Neurobiology.
We research how the visual system works, how it develops and how to repair visual circuits damaged by injury or disease.
Our two main goals are to:
A unique feature of our lab is that we focus both on deciphering biological mechanisms and developing strategies for treating humans.
We are currently designing state-of-the-art virtual reality and gene therapy platforms to offset and reverse vision loss, and to understand anxiety and PTSD.
